Charlestown, a
Conservation Area of special local
importance and boasts a Post Office
Stores, two Pubs each serving
bar and restaurant meals.
There is a Bistro built above
the Charlestown Shipwreck and
Heritage Centre and a fine gourmet
restaurant.
Either side of
the village over the coast path lies Carlyon
Bay to the East, and to the West the pretty
beach at Porthpean. Three Golf Courses lie
within two miles.
A variety of old
classic boats are usually tied-up
in the harbour where repairs and
refits are carried out in traditional
ways.
